Hendrie Hall

The words "no photo yet"Going up the warped stairs generated thoughts of history, of countless young singers aspiring to be good enough to make the Yale Glee Club; a group of exceptionally talented singers. The pictures of all the classes within the Yale Glee Club room reminded me of that tradition and history. The wooden floors spoke to resonance and mellow harmony; the Glee Club Director portraits, of continuity and inspiration.

Sterling Memorial Library

The entrance to Sterling Memorial LibraryFirst impressions: A cathedral, a place of peaceful solitude where great thoughts can be generated. It was the outside that was the first impression; a veritable Notre Dame of New Haven. In my Benedictine prep school, the chapel was exotic and young; at Yale it was grand and imposing…a secular cathedral of unique gravitas!
